To all members of the House of Assembly,
Subject: Newfoundland and Labrador School Curriculum; Religion and Sex Education
Dear Premier,
Let me first quote Mr. Rex Murphy:
"As things now are, a truly religious person must actually stay out of politics — must forgo an active role in democratic government — because in our brazen and new age, he or she will be faced with irreconcilable moral choices. If elected, he or she will be required to betray their faith and themselves, and on those very issues that matter most: issues of life, family, autonomy and the dignity of persons.[1]"
Introduction
Prime Minister Pierre Elliott Trudeau once said as the Justice Minister:
"Take this thing on homosexuality. I think the view we take here is that there's no place for the state in the bedrooms of the nation. I think that what's done in private between adults doesn't concern the Criminal Code."[2]
How much politics has changed since Pierre Trudeau's statement? The Federal government and provincial government are actively involved in the privacy of the Canadian bedroom, especially Sex-Education of our children. The Newfoundland and Labrador sex education curriculum proved just that. Why does the homosexual community activist propagate their lifestyle and ideology on children by lobbying the provincial government of Newfoundland and Labrador to introduce sexual orientation in school? They have attained the civil right to marry, therefore why impose their preferred gender orientation toward our children?
History of the homosexuality civil right - please review
The act of homosexuality was a criminal offence at one time[3]:
Prior to the 1970s, homosexuality was a criminal offence in Canada. Those accused of homosexual activities were charged as sex offenders and, if convicted, could be sentenced to long prison terms.
Mr. Klippert’s sentence triggered a public debate in Canada over homosexuality and whether gay men should be imprisoned for their sexual activities. In 1969, the federal Liberal government instituted sweeping reforms of Canada’s criminal law, which included decriminalizing homosexuality. In discussing the amendment, Pierre Trudeau, Justice Minister at the time, stressed the importance of individual freedom in the context of sexuality.
Trudeau stated: "It's bringing the laws of the land up to contemporary society I think. Take this thing on homosexuality. I think the view we take here is that there's no place for the state in the bedrooms of the nation. I think that what's done in private between adults doesn't concern the Criminal Code. When it becomes public this is a different matter, or when it relates to minors this is a different matter."
Mr. Klippert was later released from prison in 1971.
In the 1982 new constitution Section 15 - Equality Rights[4] sex-orientation was not included in the Constitution. What are the events, which precede same-sex marriage?
[5]Following the decriminalization of homosexuality, the focus shifted to issues of sexual orientation and equality. Beginning in the 1970s, several legislative reforms were instituted in an attempt to end discrimination against gay and lesbian persons. Some important examples include:
· In 1977, Quebec became the first province in Canada to include “sexual orientation” in its human rights legislation. Today, all provinces and territories in Canada prohibit discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation.
· In 1978, the federal government amended Canada’s Immigration Act, removing a ban on homosexuals as immigrants.
· In 1982, the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms was added to the Constitution. The Charter did not explicitly grant equal rights to gays and lesbians. However, in 1995 the Supreme Court of Canada ruled, in Egan v. Canada, that the Charter would be interpreted in a manner that prohibited discrimination on the basis of “sexual orientation.”
· In 1992, the federal government lifted its ban on homosexuals in the military, allowing gays and lesbians to serve openly and live with their partners on military bases.
· In 1999, the Supreme Court of Canada ruled that gay and lesbian couples should enjoy the same rights and benefits as common-law couples with regard to pensions, income taxes, and other such matters. The federal government recognized such rights in 2000.
In 2004, the federal government extended protection against hate propaganda toward gays and lesbians, making it an offence to spread hatred against others based on their sexual orientation. Clergymen were excluded from the new offence.
Democracy, does it still mean what it was meant to be?
If any Canadian or I cannot voice his/her opinion, I fear that Canada has become a communist state, even worst, it has become a fascist nation.
Tolerance in Canada seems to mean 'to approve' or 'to accept’ or 'in support of' rather than to let someone with a different sexual moral behaviour act up according to his/his choice without interference.
According to the McMillan dictionary, tolerate means to allow someone to do something that you do not like or approve of. (Doesn’t mean acceptance)
Oxford Dictionaries, tolerate means allow the existence, occurrence, or practice of "something that one does not necessarily like or agree with" without interference. (Doesn't mean approval?)
Your Dictionary, tolerate means to recognize and respect others' beliefs, practices, etc. without sharing them (Now, it does reflect approval)
Merriam-Webster tolerate means to allow to be or to be done without prohibition, hindrance, or contradiction, (This is so undemocratic, more like communist)
Therefore, when did tolerance become law to force acceptance toward homosexual behaviour on the general population of Canada instigated by a minority group? When did approval toward homosexual behaviour in Canada become a civil right? It all started with the Constitution Act, 1995. From then on, the general population had no say in the matter.
OUR CHOICES; SHUT UP OR BE CHARGE OF A HATE CRIME.
"Freedom of speech is a basic human right. People fought for it, and many young Newfoundlanders died in the 1st and 2nd WW for our basic human rights. Nowadays, the threat is not from external enemies but from within."
"This generation is being raised not to believe in freedom of speech but rather that they should have freedom from speech (that they dislike)[6]".
What freedom of expression does a citizen have in Newfoundland and Labrador? When does special status right on a specific individual or group become off-limits for discussion? Can a civil right be revoked? Politically correctness is the way to keep silence a certain group in our society, especially Christians. Does 1.4% of a minority supersede any majority vote of the population as to decide what direction the province ought to take concerning moral issues and the future of our children's education? Is that how this province of Newfoundland and Labrador defines democracy? What would have been the reaction of the population of the Dominion of Newfoundland in 1949 referendum if a 1.4% of the population vote would suffice to enter the Canadian Confederation? Unthinkable, yet 1.4% of the population are influencing (dictating) the course of the province ought to take in the area of sex education, sexual orientation.
More outrageous, on December 21, 2004, Mr. Justice Derek Green ordered the provincial government to begin issuing marriage licences to same-sex couples in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador³. That was six months before the Federal minority government under the leadership of Prime Minister Paul Martin officially legalizes same-sex marriage nationwide with the enactment of the Civil Marriage Act, which provided a gender-neutral marriage definition. Even more outrageous, in January 2005, seven Newfoundland marriage commissioners were forced to resign after Justice Derek Green orders all commissioners to perform same-sex “weddings” or face dismissal. No one within the government of Newfoundland lifted a finger to protest.
His action went against "The Canadian Human Rights Act, passed in 1977, which also protects human rights in the federal public and private sectors (for example, banking, rail, telecommunications, inter-provincial transportation), particularly the right to equality and non-discrimination in the areas of employment, housing and the provision of services[7]".
Have Christians and non-Christians alike who publicly disagree with homosexuality lifestyle based on behaviour choice and equal right to civil marriage become the targets of persecution and tyranny in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador?
What a contrast with Republican Governor Greg Abbott of Texas who lately signed into law a bill allowing his state’s clergy to refuse to officiate marriage ceremonies that violated their religious beliefs. Abbott said it is vital that religious leaders are “secure in knowing that religious freedom is beyond the government’s reach[8].”
Justice Derek Green, a non-member elected acted like a fascist dictator overruling any parliamentary procedures. This government of Newfoundland and Labrador just looked the other way. Who actually governs the province of Newfoundland and Labrador? A government elected by the people or a Federal Minister appointed justice commissioner? Should I be addressing this letter to the present Chief Justice of Newfoundland and Labrador, Court of Appeal, Chief Justice J.D. Green? Isn't the role of a Chief of Justice to uphold the law and not to make it? Has the seven Newfoundland marriage commissioners ever been compensated for their wrongful dismissal? Go figure, I bet not.
Same-sex couples accounted for 0.8 percent of all Canadian couples, and marriage still remains the minority for same-sex couples. The 2011 census enumerated 21,015 same-sex married couples and 43,560 in common-law relationships[9]. I do not know the percentage of same-sex marriage for the province of Newfoundland. If 0.8% is for Canada, I assume that it is insignificant in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador. Was it worthwhile to ruin the lives of those seven marriage commissioners for less than 0.8% of the Canadian population?
Homosexual's agenda is more than just about civil rights. After all, only 1% of Canadians are gay; "Among Canadians aged 18 to 59, 1.0% reported that they consider themselves to be homosexual and 0.7% considered themselves bisexual. About 1.3% of men considered themselves homosexual, about twice the proportion of 0.7% among women. However, 0.9% of women reported being bisexual, slightly higher than the proportion of 0.6% among men[10]. In Newfoundland and Labrador, homosexuals and bisexuals (reported physically active in 2003), was 1.3% of the population.
Why do I believe that homosexual's agenda is more than just about civil rights because the media and special militants within the government of Canada are giving too much attention to sexual orientation? VOCM radio[11], CBC[12] and St. John's Telegram[13] gave much public attentiveness for an event called "St John Pride day" to attracts attendance.
Those special militants within the government of Canada and within your government seem to have only one agenda, and that is the degradation of the family value of one man with one woman married couple with children. Your government is walking at the same beat as the Federal government. The proof is there is no special event in St John's to promote the traditional family lifestyle. The media praise individuals who chose a homosexual lifestyle and noted how courageous for them to go against the traditional values. Does VOCM radio, CBC and the St John's Telegram promote traditional family values? What is good for the goose should also be good for the gander. Have the media forgotten the challenge a traditional family face in our every day social activities nowadays?
There is a special agenda because it is reflected in the education curriculum in our school. The purpose of this letter is not in an attempt to stop these actions of sexual behaviour but to stop them from influencing and forcing their lifestyle on our children with propagating lies. Homosexuality activities are not a civil crime in Canada, and the homosexual community now has the same marriage statue as traditional marriage. Yet it is not enough.
As of today, the sexual education curriculum for Newfoundland and Labrador when certain key concepts are first introduced to children are[14]:
· The grade at which children are expected to know the names of all body parts, Grade 4.
· The grade at which children are introduced to the concept of sexual orientation, Grade 9
· The grade at which children are introduced to the concept of gender identity, Unclear
· The grade at which children are told about STIs and their prevention, Grade 7 (HIV/AIDS mentioned in Grade 5)
· The grade at which children are told about Internet safety and/or sexting, Unclear
· The grade at which children are told about birth control, Grade 8
· The grade at which children are expected to understand consent, Grade 8
· The grade at which children are told about sexual abuse, Grade 2
The concept of sexual orientation, Grade 9 is very disturbing. Questioning behaviour preference at that age or any age is influencing a child to question its own gender orientation. Children are not animals who are born with instincts. They are taught. Parents have the responsibility to guide children as they grow. When a child asks the question of why she doesn't have a penis like her brother, the parents reply that because she is a girl. That is where the concept of sexual orientation starts and should be an end. It always has been so since the beginning of humanity. The same with naming body parts, which involve private body parts, that is the parents’ responsibility. Unfortunately, there is so much propaganda from the part of those special militants that push the homosexuality agenda on the media, movie industries, music industries, now at school, which causes confusion in the minds of our children. The notion that sexual preference originated from birth has not been proven and it is a lie. The feeling is not a good measurement and appropriate to make the distinction. Would you make a financial decision based on a feeling? Since the early seventies, much importance has been placed on expressing feelings to make a crucial decision, as if the feeling would supersede intellectual reasoning. It has been taught not to stop a child from expressing his/her feeling in the fear of interfering with their self-esteem. A child who is not guided in expressing his/her feeling would end up in Wal-Mart aisle with a temper tantrum until the parent would give in to his/her caprice.
Another factor misguiding gender identity is judging the child's behaviour toward other children of the same sex. If a boy enjoys more the company of another boy and put his hand around the neck of his best buddy, it is considered a homosexual tendency. That is intentional stereotyped propaganda and is used to promote an agenda. First and foremost, homosexuality was by the original definition, "as a sexual desire or behaviour directed toward a person or persons of one's own sex"[15]. "an enduring pattern of emotional, romantic, and/or sexual attractions"[16], has been added to compliment the homosexual community. Boys enjoying the presence of boys are now stereotyped with a homosexual tendency. A boy's gender becomes questionable because as an act of behaviour, while all this time the young boy viewed it as a good friend without any sexual attractiveness. They use this perception to teach the boy that it is ok to love another boy since it may turn out into sexual attractiveness in the future. That is manipulating the mind of a child.
I urge you and your government and the school board to stay out of the responsibility to teach anything about sex in school. Sexuality is the parent’s responsibility. Parenting responsibility is a privilege in a democratic nation, and such it should be in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador.
Communism ideology takes away parent privilege and is given to the state government in many countries. Sex education is not the responsibility of the province school board. If the parents’ don't want the responsibility, don't take it. Keep only one important principle in the sexual education curriculum, which is the grade at which children are told about sexual abuse. It should start in kindergarten and all through Grade 12. I can guarantee you that perversion and wickedness will only increase to a point where pedophiles will demand the right to sexually abuse children[17]. They will justify their feeling for their sexual deviancy as normal behaviour just as of homosexual and transgender [18]. Do not introduce gender identity in the school curriculum, which questions young children about their sexual orientation. The origin of sexual deviancy is not at birth. Homosexuality or transgender is a behavioural choice. I urge you not to follow Ontario's model, which is a pure perversion.
· “Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne wants students to learn about sexual consent early.[19]” “Ontario's education minister, will re-introduced sex-ed curriculum (to) teach kids about homosexuality and same-sex marriages in Grade 3, encourage discussions about puberty, including masturbation, in Grade 6, and talk about preventing sexually transmitted diseases in Grade 7, which could include information on oral and anal sex.”
It is even worst in some part of the United States
· “Virginia Dept. of Education, CBN News reported, “Starting in kindergarten, students will be taught about same-sex or gay marriage and the parents will not be able to opt-out.[20]””
What is the outcome of the Ontario Liberal government’s radical sex-ed agenda? An exodus of thousands of children from Ontario’s publicly funded schools this fall. “A lot have either enrolled their kids in their religious institutions, or they’re moving out of Ontario, or they’re pulling their kids out for homeschooling,” confirmed Farina Siddiqui of the Coalition of Concerned Parents. “I for one am doing the same. [21]” All this to satisfy less than 2% of the population, outrageous!
Many parents and members of the school board may bring into the argument that the children will learn about sex in the schoolyard anyway so why not teach it? Well, they are wrong to give that responsibility to the school board because the parent and the school board are focusing on wrong values in preparing our children for life responsibility. For centuries, marriage couples managed to make babies without sex education in school. Moral and ethical values are what parents and the school board should be focusing on.
We, as human beings and as well as children, want to achieve success. And we seek the freedom to do so. When we succeed in accomplishing a goal, an objective, we experience a great sense of accomplishment. This generation focus solely on satisfying immediate physical, emotional need in pleasure, in recreation. You observe this trend in all TV commercials and advertising. We put too much importance on sexual freedom for pleasure. We do not develop character and integrity in our social activities with sex education. It is all about me generation first and nothing about others. Satisfying the immediate physical and emotional desire, if not meet, will produce discouragement, low self-esteem and in some case suicidal tendency. Drug addiction is in the increase, and so is bullying. Children become irresponsible, disrespectful and difficult to discipline, why? Because true ethic and moral values are not taught and not applied by adults to set an example. The fulfilment of life pleasure only as our primary objective does not inspire truth freedom. They are unrealistic values base on acquiring substantial pleasure as the main objective in life.
Let me tell you something about low self- esteem. You will not find this word in the bible. This terminology was created by an atheist psychologist that knows nothing about the human soul as God created us but only by what he observed. God gave us instructions on how to take care of our souls since He created us. He knows what is good for the soul. He instructs us to love our neighbour as we love ourselves. He did not say as we esteem ourselves, but as we love ourselves. It is part of the human characteristic to love ourselves first and foremost. We love ourselves. We love ourselves so much that when we look at ourselves in the mirror and do not like what we see, we become overwhelmed with disappointment that leads to discouragement. If we do not get hold of what we want in life, we become disappointed. If some throw offence and insults at us that also creates disappointment and discouragement. Children are experiencing disappointment, not low self-esteem. By giving more love and attention does not suffice in some cases. The School Boards are focusing on wrong values. Seeking sexual pleasure, material goods and entertainment are not real values to achieve real-life satisfaction. We all strive for true freedom to be successful. In life, the pursuit of erroneous goals and inspirations distract us from the freedom to be successful, as God had designed.
Freedom to be successful involves someone who has a high sense of responsibility.
"And someone who has a highly developed sense of responsibility must also have a highly develop ethics and morality that if you do not have high mortality or ethic then you will not produce a group of citizens that will consider what is best for others. And when you do not have a high view of ethics, virtue and morality and people who are seeking what is best for me than the nation will fragment into a lot of irresponsible people seeking what is best for them and it blows everything a nation stand for apart. Without religion, there can not be a virtue. To have liberty it must have virtue, we must have a way to train future generations to live on the bases of the pursuit of virtue and morality in order for the government can function as it should be." Marriage and freedom - Robert Dean Jr, the pastor of West Houston Bible Church[22].
Responsibility starts with oneself. But it must be taught. The bible teaches us that responsibility is about taking upon ourselves to do what needs to be done. That is part of ethical and moral values.
If the school board of Newfoundland and Labrador truly desires the best for our children and for the future generation of this province ( I'm sure that you do) you must first and foremost teach true biblical moral and ethical values. But this is not the case since the present religion curriculum is all about accepting other religious beliefs.
That will take us to the next school curriculum - Religious Education
Religion education should be off-limit to the provincial government. Your present religious curriculum is not preparing our young generation to face the future with assertiveness in moral responsibility, with ethic and virtuous biblical view, who seek what is best for our community and our province. The majority of student graduates have become atheists with secular ethic values. For example, there are fewer young men and young women who volunteer to an existing organization, serve their communities, and meet humanitarian needs. Let me remind you of the definition of Atheism: a disbelief in the existence of a deity, the doctrine that there is no deity.
The present Newfoundland school religion's curriculum[23] starting at grade 1, consist of:
Traditional Aboriginal Spirituality
Judaism
Hinduism
Buddhism
Christianity
Islam
Sikhism
Baha’i Faith
The key Baha’i religious principles are the oneness of God, the oneness of religion, and the oneness of humanity. Baha’is support world unity and the development of international governing bodies. Baha’is work closely with government agencies, including the United Nations and the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA).
Our children are being conditioned to accept a One World Religion and to adapt to the idea of a New World Order. Is that what "The Liberal government of Brian Tobin had in mind when he passed the necessary legislation to form a non-denominational system, 155 years after the first denominational Education Act?" I understand that there has been a Royal Commission of Inquiry into Education in 1990, followed by two referendums.[24] I also understand that it is not only the governments’ fault that a non-denominational system was adapted but mainly because of the cost involved in sustaining all denominational schools.
Christian's denominations are as much responsible for the Non-Denominational School System in this province. Christians are divided among themselves. They have divided not only on issues biblical doctrine but on so many insignificant traditions, custom, social moral values[25] such as abortion and same-sex marriage. As Jesus comment, "Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand," Matthew 12:25. In Church assemblies, ministers and pastors will avoid offence by not teaching fundamental doctrines.
"For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables, 2 Timothy 4:3-4.
The churches have become weak and silence over critical political and social issues. They accepted to play the role of marriage commissioners for the province and receive tax exemption status. Not to lose either of their privileges, they opted not to get involved with the political orientation of the province in important issues such as homosexual lifestyle, same-sex marriage, sex education and religion education for our young children in our school.
What is being taught about religion and about Christianity to our children in our school? To become environmentally responsible to take care of Mother Earth. True Christianity teaches that Jesus is the only way to receive the gift of eternal life. It teaches a specific moral and ethic standard of living. These principals are applied during a Christian’s life. That is not what it is being taught. Christianity as all other religions taught at school are now viewed by our children like fairy tale stories, make beliefs and hearsay, isn't it? The tooth fairy is a lie. Yet Christians and secular adults keep teaching this ritual of burying the children tooth under the pillow, and as a reward of believing a lie, a child receives a coin. A child will continue to pretend to believe only to receive a coin. I did so when I found out that Santa did not exist. I pretended to believe so that my parents would continue to give me gifts. I assumed that if my parent would know that I didn't believe, I would stop receiving gifts. Easter is viewed in the same way, receiving chocolate bunnies and eggs for believing a lie, and so it is for Halloween. We are conditioning our children by rewarding them for accepting a lie. That is how we are conditions children not to go against the lies. Even though a student does not agree with the religion taught at school he/she would pretend to agree only to get his grade. The majority of our students all graduate viewing religion and Christianity as a fairy tale and become an atheist. Many ventures into playing a dangerous game called "Charlie, Charlie" a new version of the Ouija Board since the occult is being masked as entertainment in our culture. It is all superstition such as religion, not to be taken seriously.
Premier, whatever happened to Newfoundland motto, "Seek first the Kingdom of God?"
You know where you can find it, don't you? Excerpt by Hans Rollmann Published on April 06, 2008 in The Telegram[26]:
"You will find in the Newfoundland and Labrador House of Assembly (where) hangs the familiar provincial coat of arms with its cross, lion and unicorn, crested by an elk and flanked on each side by two aboriginals holding a bow. Above the lieutenant governor's vice-regal head and supported by two Greek pillars rises in large capital letters once again the Latin motto gracing our provincial coat of arms: Quaerite prime regnum De, which in good old King James English translates as, “Seek ye first the kingdom of God”
The motto "Seek Ye First The Kingdom Of God" was officially recognized as Newfoundland's coat of arms on Jan. 1, 1928. It replaced the pagan "Badge of Newfoundland," in which Mercury, the god of trade and commerce, presents to Britannia a kneeling fisherman who offers her the gifts of the sea, presumably with the words of its motto, Hic tibi dona fero, "these gifts I bring to you."
Today, in the name of evolution, we have evolved into New Age philosophy, science, and Interfaith, which represents a New World Religion. It all leads to a spiritual ascension no matter what an individual believes.
In Newfoundland, prior to Brian Tobin's reform, Christianity was the only religion taught at school. Each Sunday the churches were full of worshippers. There would be a bible study on weekdays. Nowadays, we find this motto in tourist information brochure yet it is no longer part of Newfoundland culture and our churches are full of empty pews, with attendees sitting in the back. Hardly any young parents attend; next to no children, few attend Sunday school. Like so many other provinces, parents gave away their responsibilities, most importantly their parental rights and freedoms, to educate their children to the state. The government now teaches our children the New Age values under the guise of common core, moral standard values controlled by the United Nations' Agenda 21. Agenda 21 objectives for our youth is "to ensure that education reflects the economic and social needs of youth and incorporates the concepts of environmental awareness and sustainable development throughout the curricula." That is so New Age fundamental belief worshipping Mother Earth. Every mean is necessary to protect the goddess of the environment, Mother Earth.
Quoting their reform: "Children not only will inherit the responsibility of looking after the Earth but in many developing countries they comprise nearly half the population. Furthermore, children in both developing and industrialized countries are highly vulnerable to the effects of environmental degradation. They are also highly aware supporters of environmental thinking. The specific interests of children need to be taken fully into account in the participatory process on environment and development in order to safeguard the future sustainability of any actions taken to improve the environment[27]," Agenda 2125.1 - 25.17.
Let me give you a heads up; the effects of environmental degradation are not caused by the emission of CO2. It is a lie and a guise to take away the economic sovereignty of a nation and to be given away to a One World Order governed by the United Nations.
Agenda 21 is all about how to hide God through science and the environment. There is nothing new under the sun. Adolph Hitler inspired the same goal as the United Nation:
"National Socialism and religion cannot exist together... The heaviest blow that ever struck humanity was the coming of Christianity."
"The dogma of Christianity gets worn away before the advances of science. Religion will have to make more and more concessions. Gradually the myths crumble. All that's left is to prove that in nature there is no frontier between the organic and the inorganic. When understanding of the universe has become widespread, when the majority of men know that the stars are not sources of the light but worlds, perhaps inhabited worlds like ours, then the Christians doctrine will be convicted of absurdity." (Hitler's Table Talk, July 1941)
What Hitler couldn't achieve by force, The United Nations and the school curriculum of Newfoundland and Labrador are successful by teaching our children communist values.
What about Freedom of Religion?
As a Christian, I understand that God has given freedom of choice. He had created us with "Free will", which is more then any Charter of Rights and Freedom can give. He gave us the freedom to err and to learn from our errors. God wrote a Standard Operating Policy such as it is with a major company who ask their employee to read and to follow. Everyone has the right to follow them or not. If not, the employee needs to accept the consequences. So it is with God, He is supreme judge, and one day we will all give account.
God gave free will to the homosexual, freedom to live according to their feeling, Roman 1:26-28... therefore they are abandoned by God... God will not stop them, so why should we Christian try to stop them?
A Christian is someone that chose to believe in the Supreme God who created heaven and earth as described in the Bible. He/she also believes in the origin of evil, an event where sin was introduced in the world, which happens in the garden eastward in Eden. He/she believes in God's grace and mercy toward all man, who has sent His Son Jesus to pay for the consequence of our sins. A Christian is someone who believes in the death and resurrection of Jesus. The reward is the gift of eternal life. He/she becomes a citizen of the Kingdom of God. A Christian is someone who prepares to reign with Christ by studying sound doctrine and applying it in his/her life.
Christians do not have the mandate to stop the world from sinning. We are not mandated to force our lifestyle upon others. We are mandated to testify Christ's resurrection, which is the gospel and to set an example by living by God's ethical and moral values. Christians also have the right to live their faith protected by the Canadian Constitution Bill of Rights. We have the right to defend our choice as much as the homosexual has right on their choice. To be a Christian or a homosexual is a behavioural choice, a lifestyle choice. You may notice that there are many denominations and clergies that support homosexual behaviour, but yet, they are contradicting their faith. Jesus warned us that there would be impostors; "For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many," Matt 24:5.
A true Christian strives to live according to God's instructions and not by the world’s secular view. You notice that I use the word strives to and not live by God's instruction. As a child grows in understanding and makes an effort to apply his/her parent’s instruction, so is a Christian.
Tell me what’s wrong by striving to obey God's commandments? What wrong with striving not to lie, not to steal, not to commit murder, not to give false witness which is called gossiping, what’s wrong with striving to be loyal to one spouse, not committing adultery? Is it not what sustains a healthy community? What is wrong with to strive to love our neighbour as we love ourselves? To strive doesn't mean we are perfect. As Christians, the good of the community is part of God's instruction. "You shall love your neighbour as yourself," Leviticus 19:18. "Let no one seek his own, but each one the other’s well-being, "1 Corinthians 10:24.
The true definition of tolerance is through the example of God's grace and mercy. Grace is defined as unmerited favour and mercy is defined as unmerited forgiveness. United Nations seem to be overwhelmingly concern about Mother Nature more than human interest. Thousands of Christians are being persecuted by ISIL. They are refugees with no nations in the world who care for them. Children are being crucified, men beheaded, women raped and sold as sex slaves. Outrageous, the United Nations is more concerned with the environment than human tragedies.
Morality and Christianity are inseparable. When a nation puts God out of the picture, it is left with no moral and ethic foundation.
"In those days there was no king in Israel; everyone did what was right in his own eyes," Judges 17:6.
This Premier is the culture of our day, everyone is doing what is right in his/her own eyes.
The Bible teaches Christians responsibility towards our government by recognizing and accepting that the governing powers are ordained by God, it teaches to pay our taxes and to pray for the leaders of our government. It teaches us to live a quiet life and to do business with integrity. It teaches to respect God's ordained marriage between one man and one woman. It teaches us to instruct and prepare our children for life adult responsibilities. Tell me. why would the media-shy away from Christians values? Because it gives a notion that God is real, and remind the secular that one day all will give an account of their conduct even the most defile and secret one.
Christians are not doormats. Canada Constitution Act 1982 Document protects us. The Canada Constitution Act 1982 Document also give special privilege to the individual to sin evermore. Yet the Judeo Christian God is Supreme above all government laws:
Whereas Canada is founded upon principles that recognize the supremacy of God and the rule of law: Part I, Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms[28]
Religion recommendation
In 1984, the Newfoundland-Labrador Human Rights Association (NLHRA) sent a brief to the Minister of Justice criticizing the school system, stating that: “The greatest single threat to equality of religion and freedom of worship [in the province] is the restrictive nature of the denominational educational system. It is recommended that a second alternative be available for students who are not of faiths which benefit from special constitutional privilege, or that denominational schools be prohibited from discriminating on the basis of religion.”[29]
Therefore, for the sake of students who are not of faith, the school board decided to teach all other religions to all students with or no faith belief. Ironic isn't it? I consider this an oxymoronic policy.
Religion should be banned altogether from the school curriculum. I urge you and your government not to take the responsibility to teach religion in school. It is in conflict with true Christianity values. Parents are to correct their children of the false doctrine that the schools are teaching. If Christianity alone cannot be taught at school, your government and the school board ought not to take the role of religious indoctrination of any foreign belief on our Christian children and children of other faith.
Teachers who teach religion other then Christianity are considered "idolatrous priests" Zephaniah 1:4. All false teachers will be judged more severely at judgment day in the presence of our Lord and King. It is the role of parents, pastors, ministers, and Sunday school teachers to teach religion to the children.
This is my testimony, that everybody will give account for teaching lies to our children. The Newfoundland-Labrador Human Rights Association recommended that a second alternative be available for students who are not of faith, therefore let them (The Newfoundland-Labrador Human Rights Association) teach alternative belief but not in our school who are forcing their Interfaith indoctrination on our Christians children.
"Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me," John 14:6.
“These false teachers do whatever they want, and they are so proud of themselves. They are not afraid even to say bad things against the glorious ones,” 2 Peter 2:10b.
“Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were drowned in the depth of the sea,” Matthew 18:6.
God rules over leaders of all nations. King Nebuchadnezzar learned this lesson in a very humble way as illustrated in Daniel chapter 4. This is how King Nebuchadnezzar describes God sovereignty at the end of his lesson:
"And at the end of the time I, Nebuchadnezzar, lifted my eyes to heaven, and my understanding returned to me; and I blessed the Most High and praised and honored Him who lives forever: For His dominion is an everlasting dominion, And His kingdom is from generation to generation. All the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing; He does according to His will in the army of heaven And among the inhabitants of the earth. No one can restrain His hand Or say to Him, “What have You done?” Daniel 4:34-35
King Nebuchadnezzar realized and admitted that the God of Israel is ruler over the kings of the earth, Rev 1:5.
Important events are about to happen soon in the world scene, and you need to be prepared. My advice is to follow your province motto, " Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness ". This instruction from our Lord Jesus comes with a promise, "and all these things shall be added to you," Matthew 6:33. This is a promise not only for individual men and women but for nations also.
To seek first the Kingdom of God was at one time a fundamental part of Newfoundland and Labrador culture. It is no more. Your government is not the only at fault, but the church's denominations. They relinquish their spiritual responsibilities to the government, to the school board. Parents also have relinquished their responsibility to the school board. None question, but those who do question are simply ignored. Critical thinking is not taught at school, and the skill in grammar and spelling has become irrelevant. To master the English language as of any other language is the key to express ideas. Reading is essential to develop vocabulary.
What is critical thinking? Here is a good example. Ask a student to read a simple book on the life of Mohammed, and then give the student to read the book of Matthew, containing the life of Jesus. Then ask this question: Which one would you prefer to have as a neighbour, Jesus or Mohammed?
But you don't do that. You do not allow students to think for themselves. We live in an age where political correctness is the law, to avoid discrimination and offence. I call that communist when the state controls what a student must learn. You want to make sure that they are "INFORMATION," do you?
Why am I writing this to you and to the members of your government? It is to give you a sense of reality from God's point of view, from the Bible point of view. This is my testimony. I moved to Glovertown in November of 2008. And I did fell in love with the culture and especially the strong spiritual value describes in your motto. I read your history, which by the way should be taught at school. They are valuable lessons where people can face adversities with moral integrity, courage, and spiritual conviction. They were people who did not expect handouts from their government but lived according to the moral obligation toward their neighbours.
Sex education and religion education at present status quo should be removed from the school curriculum. The curriculum is inverting the mind of our children. With the freedom to live according to individual standards, the heart ever draws colder and iniquity increases. To whose standard should we live by? Since God is not in the picture, every individual wants to live according to his or her own personal standard. This will only lead into imposing upon other each other standard.
"Where do wars and fights come from among you? Do they not come from your desires for pleasure that war in your members? (Personal standard) You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. Yet you do not have because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures. Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God," James 4:1-4.
Adulterers and adulteresses are meant as spiritual idolatry. There is no fear of God, therefore sins are viewed good. The Freedom of Right in the Canadian constitution gives the freedom to sin freely and in abundance.
The nation is blessed when leaders live according to God's standard. The problem arises when leaders reject God's standard and when each citizen lives to their own standard which leads to a power struggle. That is what the movies and marketing industries are promoting: "Do what you feel like doing". Everybody wants to rule the world according to his or her feeling. They all want their rights and the Canadian Chater of Rights guarantees just that.
"Newfoundlanders are driving away from God’s laws, we don’t teach our children about Him in our schools, we don’t offer public prayers in His name, and the holy days we observe are no longer tributes to Him. We don’t thank Him for the blessings we receive and we don’t turn to Him when we’re in need. There can hardly be any differentiating between the conduct of a Christian and a secular. Christians are viewed as hypocrites with good reason, we lecture “not to sin” instead of reaching people with the true gospel of salvation[30].
Christianity was the foundational part of Newfoundland and Labrador culture and tradition. It is no more. Under the "Population Growth Strategy for Newfoundland and Labrador, 2015-2025,[31]" Minister Clyde Jackman wants to bring into Newfoundland and Labrador more immigrates[32]. With unemployment rate (unadjusted, May 2015)[33] of 13.9%, and lately the news that Newfoundland and Labrador will lose 24,000 jobs over the next three years[34], this government 5 years strategy is to bring in more foreigners. Are you serious? While educated graduates and trade workers could not find a job in Newfoundland and Labrador, for their survival, they are obligated to move into other provinces for employment. Bring them back home first before introducing foreigners. I can see only one reason why this province follows the Federal immigration strategy and that is Agenda 21.
In Minister Clyde Jackman's video, he points out that the province of Newfoundland and Labrador is a very safe place to live, is a family-oriented province, and has a very strong culture. On the latter one, a very strong culture, Minister Clyde Jackman is in error. The Newfoundland and Labrador culture is eroding at a very dangerous speed. For the last 40 years, the American, and more specifically Hollywood’s, influence had made a decisive impact on this province's culture. Less and less are the new generation interested to follow the culture and tradition of the Newfoundlander.
As for family-oriented values, it is even worse, since Christian family values are not taught at home or in school, this generation and the ones that follow will adopt a more secular world view on moral issues. Movies, TV shows, and social media took the role to educate our children. Some parent leaves children for hours in front of the TV, not caring what is been taught to them.
This is how the Apostle Paul describes TV programs, which is so entertaining:
"But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!" 2 Timothy 3:1-5
And this is what ought to be taught instead
"But you have carefully followed my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, love, perseverance," 2 Timothy 3:10.
"But you have carefully followed my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, love, perseverance," 2 Timothy 3:10.
Longsuffering, now this is a virtue in our modern age that is vanishing out of our vocabulary. It means to be emotionally mature, which can be described simply by not hurting someone else when suffering.
The Newfoundland and Labrador school curriculum should consist of:
- Newfoundland history - Why Newfoundland is exceptional? To learn from the past mistakes and successes
- Newfoundland and world geography
- English grammar, spelling, reading, poetry, writing skill, memorization
- Math and Basic accounting
- Basic economy, how capitalist promotes economic equality, rather than socialist which consist of taking from the hard responsible middle class to give to the opportunist lazy irresponsible citizens
- True science, not pseudosciences such as evolution and the Big Bang (it is a theory and not factual)
- Critical thinking, to win the war of ideas, it’s an important asset to understand the politics of the communities and provincial government policies
- Home skills such as cooking, housekeeping for both girls and boys
- Environmental applications, such as gardening, basic agriculture, get to know the Newfoundland trees, and wild fruit, fishing and hunting.
- Latin, fundamental for future lawyers and doctors rooted in this province, and not from immigration
- Computer skills
- And most importantly, ethics and moral values, how faith, reason, and science are fully compatible
Educate our children to be prepared for a responsible life within our communities no matter the choice of career our students choose after graduation. Do this for the best interest of the population of Newfoundland and Labrador. Do it to give our students true freedom to express themselves with discipline. And maybe, yes maybe, your government will salvage the true culture and tradition of Newfoundland. But I can promise you this, it will be impossible to achieve without the God of the Newfoundland motto being involved.
This letter is long but intended to draw your attention in the area, which is of great priority and concern, the well being of our children’s education and their future.
Premier Paul Davis, you are stating your goal for Newfoundland and Labrador on your government web home page, which is
“The province has a rock-solid foundation in place, economically and socially. My goal is to build on those footings and ensure the province’s many successes continue for the benefit of Newfoundlanders and Labradorians today, tomorrow and for generations to come.”[35]
Our foundation is our children, not the economy, not the homosexual community, not a specific individual or elite group. Without specific core ethics and moral values, this province's culture and tradition is eroding at a rate of no return. This is an urgent matter.
Mr. Sandy Collins as Minister of Child, Youth and Family Services you have a lot on your plate. It is wonderful that you take interest in the people of your constituency by your presence in all sorts of social activities. But are you prepared to pull up your sleeves on behalf of our children, your children’s best interest? Start listening to the concerns of the parents. Parents are feed up not being heard. Are you up to the challenge? This coming September leaders of all nations will gather to sign a new chapter on Sustainable Development by upgrading Agenda 21 to Agenda 2030. Climate Change is a lie. It is a pretext, a ruse, to take away our freedom and sovereignty. Climate Change is a Fear Mongering[36]. According to the US-based Norwegian physicist, who is the chief technology officer at Applied Biophysics Inc and a retired academic at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Nobel Prize in Physics 1973, "Global warming or Climate change is now the new religion because you can't touch it, it is not proper"[37]. Even some Christian denominations have fallen for the lie.
"For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect," Matthew 24:24.
Mr. Sandy Collins, I suggest that you put on your critical thinking hat and study what will be the downfall of this new Agenda 2030 toward Newfoundland and Labrador. I guarantee that it is no good for the future of our children and the sovereignty of this province. Another commentary will follow this one, which will focus on the history of a sovereign Dominion to become a province totally destitute and depending on Canada.
Premier Paul Davis, are you to accept the status quo by following the directive of a certain elite group which only have personal interests or are you seriously going to take action to save whatever is left of the sovereignty of our province for the unique benefit of the population and the future our children?
When you retired, would you rest secure knowing that our future generation will take on the responsibility to govern this province for the best interest of its population and not of the corporate interest? Or is it too late?
"And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them," Ephesians 5:11.
That is my motive, to reprove them and hope that you will pay attention.
The history of God's people was written and stored in the Torah for our benefit. It was written to teach us of the benefits of following God instructions and the consequences of its disobedience. From King Salomon to King Ahaz foreign religions had been introduced and worship in Israel. The consequences were servitude to foreign nations. In time the nations divided into two kingdoms; the Kingdom of the North (Israel) and the Kingdom of the South (Judah) and both became weak.
"Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and a house divided against a house falls," Luke 11:17.
The Torah also made known of the courageous king such as King Hezekiah who did not follow the footstep of his father. He brought total reform within Judah. He destroyed and removed all symbols of pagan idolatry that had accumulated from previous reigns. He reinstated the Levite priesthood, open the door of the Temple in which his father closed to disallowed sacrificial ritual observant to the Sovereign God of Israel. King Hezekiah's reform saved half of the Kingdom, Judah. The Northern Kingdom was taken into captivity and never returned. The Kingdom of Judah became secure and sovereign under God's Devine protection. The young king did what we should be prepared to do toward anything that comes between God, and our children and God.
Premier Paul Davis, will you follow the example of King Hezekiah? Will you remove foreign religion from our school? Will you reinstate the responsibility to teach our children to true Christian denominations, not at school but to church institutions? Yes, true Christians denomination since Jesus warns that many would come in His name professing to be Christians but are not Matthew 24:5. Removing religion curriculum from our school will allow parents with a secular worldview not to have Christianity and other religions to be shoved down their throat. That is freedom ordained by God. Remove also sex education curriculum from our school. Sex education is the responsibility of parents. Again, if parents don't want the responsibility, don't take it.
I only have the best interest of our children at heart and the sovereignty of the province of Newfoundland and Labrador as God has ordained.
"But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you," Matthew 6:33.
"and all these things shall be added to you," is God's promise to all who seek Him and applies His instruction.
Mr. Rex Murphy's statement is expected from a secular worldview, "As things now are, a truly religious person must actually stay out of politics,". Nonetheless, his statement omitted our privileged and right. As a Christian, I will not simply roll over and play dead. Christians have right according to the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, and I intend to use my blessed right and freedom. I will not allow being discriminated against by the homosexual agenda neither by the Roman Catholic Church that lately reaffirmed that the Catholic Church is the only true church of Jesus Christ.[38] If the pope personally attacks the reformed protestant church, I have the liberty to criticize him.
"Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father (not the pope) except through Me," John 14:6 (and not through the Catholic Church).
I am neither a theologian nor a Bible scholar. The opinions expressed are my own, based on a personal study of God's doctrines, observation, research, and life experience in walking in the Lord.
Best Regards
Andre Delage
PS: This letter will be posted on my web page hopefully after you respond so it will include your response. It will also be distributed to all Christian denominations in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador. Nevertheless, if I receive no response within two weeks from the day this has been delivered, I will share this letter.
