Excerpt
from the book titled, “Canadian Christian Ministry 2018, The Most Lukewarm
Church in the Whole Western Nations”
Canadian institutions were founded on Judeo-Christian values.
Canada has been built on
the principles of Judeo-Christian faith and belief. A Christian that bears
fruit was/is someone who chose to believe in
the Supreme God who created heaven and earth as described in the Book of
Genesis. He/she also believes in the origin of evil, an event where sin was
introduced into the world, which happened in the garden
eastward of Eden. He/she believes in God’s grace and mercy toward all man, who
has sent His Son Jesus to pay for the consequence of Adam’s disobedience and
our sins. A Christian is someone who
believes in the death and resurrection of Jesus. The reward is the gift of eternal life. He/she becomes a citizen of the Kingdom of
Heaven. A Christian is someone who prepares to reign with Christ by studying
sound doctrines and applying them in his/her
life.
Christians
do not have the mandate to stop the world from sinning. But we are called to
make an impact. Christians are not mandated to force their lifestyle upon
others, but to use all diplomatic means to ensure that their rights are
protected and respected. They are mandated to testify Christ’s resurrection,
which is the gospel and to set an example by living by God’s ethical and moral
values. They are mandated
to bring justice by defending the orphans, the widows, the poor, the sick, and
those who are wrongly persecuted. The government through the introduction of
social programs has also hijacked this
mandate. Christians have relinquished their vocation to the state.
Christians also have the right to live
their faith
protected by the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedom.
protected by the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedom.
They have the right to defend their behaviour choice as much as homosexuals have the right to defend their behaviour choice. To be a Christian or a homosexual is a behavioural choice, a lifestyle choice. You may notice that many denominations and clergies support same-sex marriage; yet, they live in contradiction with the Christian faith. Jesus warned us that there would be impostors, “For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many” (Matt. 24:5).
A true Christian strives to live according to God’s instructions, and not by the world’s secular view. You notice that I use the word strives to and not live by God’s instruction. As a child grows in understanding and makes an effort to apply his/her parents’ instructions, so does a Christian who makes an effort to apply Jesus’s instructions.
Tell
me, what’s wrong to strive to obey God’s commandments? What’s wrong with
striving not to lie, not to steal, not commit murder, not give false
witnesses which is called gossiping and avoiding hearsay
which is in abundance in the news media (fake news) and radio talk shows,
what’s wrong with striving to be loyal to one spouse of the opposite sex, not
committing adultery? What is wrong with teaching
these values to our children? Is it not what sustains a healthy community? What
is wrong with striving to love our neighbour as we love ourselves? To strive
doesn’t mean that we are perfect. For Christians, the good of the community is
part of God’s directives.
“You shall love your neighbour as yourself,” Leviticus 19:18.
“Let no one seek his own, but each one the other’s
well-being,”
1 Corinthians 10:24
Christians Responsibility
The Bible teaches Christians responsibility toward our government by recognizing and accepting that the governing powers are ordained by God, it teaches us to pay our taxes and to pray for the leaders of our government. It teaches us to live a quiet life and to do business with integrity. It teaches us to respect God’s ordained marriage between one man and one woman. It teaches us to instruct and prepare our children for life’s adult responsibilities.
Tell
me, why would the government and the school board shy away from Christian
values? Because it gives a notion that God is real, and reminds the secular that
one day all will give an account of their unbelief and their demeanour even the
most defile and secret behaviour (Eccl 12:13–14).
It
is a Christian’s right to live by a set of beliefs. If a Christian wants to
believe that Jesus resurrected which goes against all scientific evidence, it is
his/her right to do so and the Charter of Rights and Freedoms will protect
his/her belief. If a Christian wants to believe that the blue sky above is
water as described in (Genesis 1:6), which does not go against all scientific
evidence, it is his/her right to do so and the
Charter of Rights and Freedoms will protect his/her belief. The Charter of
Rights and Freedoms has not been legislated to protect scientific evidence or
unscientific speculation (pseudoscience) such as
the theory of evolution or of the Big Bang theory but the evidence of the
written word of God. It is by faith that we understand.
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the
evidence of things not seen. For by it, the elders obtained a good testimony. By
faith, we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God so that the
things which are seen were not made of things which are visible,” Hebrews 11:1–3
The Charter of Rights and
Freedoms—
Use It, If Not, We Lose
The
Charter of Rights and Freedom is not a privilege. The Charter of Rights and
Freedoms is a constitution, which is the supreme law in Canada. Christian
parents have the right to demand the removal of sex education from the school
curriculum that goes against their moral values. Christian parents have the
right to demand the removal of religion from the school curriculum, which goes
against their spiritual belief that there is only One True God.
Christian
parents have the right to reclaim the right and parental privilege to be the
sole teachers of moral and ethical values to their children and the Charter of
Rights and Freedoms will defend their rights.
No government from any level has any right and responsibility to educate their
system of belief and principles to children of Christian parents. Demand from
your government to keep sex and religion
out of the school curriculum.
